Destination Miami tv shoot!
Sometimes blessings get dropped in your email. Any entrepreneur will tell you that running a business has its highs and lows, no matter how you love what you do. There is a plethora of avenues that need to be covered within a business which can feel overwhelming at times, add in family life and it seems there is always something pulling you in opposite directions and you are trying to be the stable tree that reaches out to all parts to keep everything functioning. In a moment what felt like a heavy, low time for both my business and personal, an email came through from Lisa Mendez discussing their desire to feature Dazzle on a new city in their Destinations Series, Miami. Honestly, the initial reaction was disbelief. Is this a scam? Is this even a real company? The list of questions that continued to flow through seemed endless. Long story short, an email led to a phone call, and after some prayerful consideration, a conversation with the team, a decision was made and all things aligned to make moves towards the future for Dazzle. Before you knew it, papers were signed, and dates were scheduled for filming. Some of you may already be familiar with the Emmy Award Winning, Destination Channel which features Wonderful Places, Fantastic, How Healthy Happens, and The Destination series, which will be featured on WFOR Ch. 4 (CBS – Miami) 7/9/2023 at 12:00pm.
Their Destination series features, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, and now Miami! They decided to make their first stop on the East Coast, in the Sunshine State and how honored we feel to be a part of their first experience in the bustling city of Miami. They started this series to showcase the very best and most unique businesses in these iconic cities. It introduces the locals to the hidden jewels in their city and in turn aids in supporting these various crafts, from home, food, and lifestyle, to continue to thrive.
The day came to film and there were so many emotions flowing from everyone. Excitement, disbelief, nervousness, joyous, and so many more! Getting prepared for the shoot required going back to the beginning of the journey of Dazzle and how it came to be what and where it is today. Almost 10 years ago, the idea of being featured on a show for simply doing what I love was not on my mind and yet here we were. We made our way to where we scheduled the shoot with no personal knowledge of the producers and videographers besides their names. Once everyone got to the location and Fernando from Paradise Studio Miami and Jean from Kri8ed Media Group set up and chatted with us, the nerves slowly faded away. They both brought a unique presence that was equally needed to have a successful shoot. We could not have been more appreciative to have worked with talented, skilled, and overall kind people during this special time for us. They brought the best out of us and captured what we do and love stunningly. We can’t wait for you to be able to view the beautiful work captured from the film teams, Dazzle, and the Destination channel.
